Chinese Ireland
With recent immigration and expanding ties of education, trade and tourism, the Chinese are an increasing presence in Ireland. To celebrate and explore this presence, Maeve Hickey's photos take us to the mini-China town of Parnell Street and a Chinese New Year celebration in the streets of Dublin; on a visit of distinguished visitors through the magnificent landscapes of Wicklow; and into the rooms of the Chinese Ambassador to Ireland. Her vision of a fascinating meeting of cultures highlights the warmth of the Chinese people visiting or making a home in a strange land.
